For over 60 years,
powder metallurgy has been used for the production of a large range of structural parts.
The development of several processes has extended the application of the technology such that, with
sintering, it is possible to produce mechanical components through the transformation of powdered raw material into final solid shapes.
The process begins with the compacting of powder into the tool to produce the required shape, which is then heated through a specific temperature range in a controlled atmosphere to achieve complete fusion.
This phase ensures the part has the required mechanical characteristics for its particular application.
